This Moon bronze, #5/12, is one of the last pieces completed before Tom Eneas passed away in June 2018. Eneas was known for carving Moon masks and they always tended to have a cheerful feel to them.

This is one of my favourite drums of Bill Reid's. Most of Reid's drums are formline images, whereas this painted drum is reminiscent of Reid's stone lithograph prints.

I like the colour of this moon drum. The different shades of blue makes me think of the phrase "once in a blue moon." I need to ask the artist if that was his intent.
