A waffle store on Commercial Drive, a waffle truck, and a busy production  facility making Scandinavian and European treats, along with our signature line of coffees and Scandilos Spreads. But that isn’t how our story started.

It begins in a kitchen many years ago with a Scandinavian woman named Synnove (Sunny). She patiently and lovingly prepared her recipes handed

down to her from generations past. Generously sharing her goodies, with friends and family and to all that entered her kitchen, for the best coffee, cookies and waffles around. Her kitchen was the place to gather. It was warm & inviting , the atmosphere was filled with laughter and stories,and the aroma

was that of fresh baking, wafting with hints of vanilla, almond, cardamom and freshly brewed coffee.The seats around her table were always filled,our bellies always full and our hearts warmed with tradition, having spent another afternoon in Sunny’s kitchen.

 

For many years those recipes were a closely guarded secret…

Well they still are of course, but the finished product is not. You see, we at Scandilicious think they are too good to be kept to ourselves any longer and we are sure you will agree. We know Sunny would be delighted to see everyone enjoying her treasured recipes & coffee, all gathered around our table or yours, filling your bellies and hearts with a little Norske tradition.
